Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD)

Manual lymphatic drainage in Enschede

Manual lymphatic drainage according to Dr. Vodder is a specialised, gentle facial massage that stimulates the natural drainage of lymph and helps to calm the skin. Particularly valuable for under-eye bags, swelling and dark circles caused by fluid retention, and also for sensitive, red or irritated skin. It can also provide support with skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.

Gentle, rhythmic, pumping massage movements stimulate the superficial lymphatic vessels, so that excess tissue fluid drains away more easily and swelling can subside.

The lymphatic system also plays an important role in removing proteins, cell debris and other waste products from the tissue. These are carried through the lymphatic vessels to the lymph nodes, where the lymph is filtered before the fluid returns to the bloodstream. The massage supports this natural process, helps to improve the fluid balance and also has a calming effect on the nervous system, which promotes deep relaxation.

Before and after cosmetic surgery

Manual lymphatic drainage can be used both before and after a facelift or eyelid correction. Beforehand, to stimulate lymphatic drainage and help reduce fluid retention. After the procedure, to drain excess fluid, reduce swelling and support a comfortable recovery. After surgery, the treatment is only carried out with the permission of the treating surgeon.

The result:
A visibly less puffy face with a fresh, well-rested appearance. Under-eye bags can diminish, facial contours are enhanced and the skin feels calmer, more comfortable and relaxed.
